I love the excitement of a blank canvass, which to me signifies the beginning of a new journey. My first brush stroke is the first step in what is often uncharted territory. I let my feelings guide my brushstrokes and each and every step on the journey.
My paintings, range from telling you a story, to letting you find your own story. I love textures and bold colors and the freedom to experiment, and even break a few rules.
I am first and foremost, “an amateur with a cause”, to raise funds though my art, to help fight cancer. I do this, in memory of my Mom who died with cancer on June 13, 2009, after a most valiant fight. AND also in memory of my Dad, who also died with cancer Sept 18, 2010.
On April 6, 2011, I launched the ART for Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization offering free creative workshops for people living with cancer.
I donate all profit from sales of my paintings to the ART for Cancer Foundation.
I feel very blessed to be able to do something I truly love and in the process contribute to a cause that is dear to my heart.
